Summer Hunt

And finally, Here's the last of my 4 pieces for my Advanced Digital Illustration class. Each piece showcases the life and struggles of a very small mouse in a very big world - and each in a different season.

For the final piece I wanted a bit more drama and conflict in comparison with how gentle and happy the other 3 were. So here's poor little Rufus doing his best to hide from a cat stalking around the warm summer night.

The process of creating 4 sequential pieces over the course of several months was actually quite challenging, as I limited my experimentation with style/techniques to keep all 4 as similar as possible so that they all flowed together. It was interesting, and I'm pretty happy with them!
